Premium Italian cowhide leather for the straps and reinforcement is strong and durable enough for riding gear.
It has been slowly vegetable tanned for several weeks in natural plant-based solutions that transform premium cowhide into strong, supple, shiny leather that conforms to the shape of your body for decades of use.
The thick anti-rust zipper extends along the sides of the bag for easy access to contents, is reinforced with thick Italian cowhide and is protected by a large storm flap.
The two front pockets are gusseted to expand for extra capacity and secured with snap flaps. The sand-cast brass hardware is custom-engraved for Filson.
Construction details have been carefully considered in this backpack, even those that aren't obvious, such as the premium Italian cowhide leather handle and pewter fabric binding on the inside seams that prevent fraying and wear.
