Made in Danner's Portland, Oregon factory, the Danner Ridge Explorer is a lightweight, versatile hiking boot created with classic Danner style and modern comfort.

Inspired by the original Danner Light , it features a full-grain leather upper with suede inserts.

The cut is slightly more large for sneaker-like comfort on short hikes or busy days.

Full-grain leather and suede upper:

To provide extra comfort around sensitive parts of the foot, we use selected pieces of softer suede in addition to our strong, durable full-grain leather.

GORE-TEX (GTX) :

100% waterproof and breathable, GORE-TEX linings ensure that water doesn't penetrate, while allowing perspiration and moisture to escape.

Removable OrthoLite insole:

3 layers of variable density are combined for maximum cushioning and support.

The entire insole is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation.

Vibram® Kletterlift outsole with Megagrip :

Specially designed for comfort and durability, the heel provides excellent shock absorption and the Vibram® Megagrip compound guarantees excellent traction and stability on wet and dry surfaces.

Stitched construction:

Handcrafted to offer a more large platform, the legendary topstitched construction provides added stability underfoot. Many Danner shoes can be repaired.
